The role of women and food is a huge concern in sub-Saharan Africa right now.
We know that in some countries women produce up to 80 percent of the agriculture, yet they have few rights and new technologies. At the same time, communities in a number of African countries are struggling to find ways to feed themselves, faced with rising food prices, and a lack of resources and development.
However, that doesn't tell the whole story. The goal of The Africa Reporting Project is to find the real stories behind these global food issues and bring them to light.
